Indexa Launches AI Brand Visibility Tools to Enhance Company Representation Across AI Systems

Consumers are increasingly turning to artificial intelligence not only to decide what to buy, but also to research companies, compare brands and assess which organizations they can trust. As AI-generated answers become another interface for discovery, they are creating a new layer of brand visibility beyond traditional search engines and social media.

Istanbul, ISTANBUL, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Indexa, a technology startup focused on AI brand visibility, is building tools to measure that emerging layer — helping companies understand how they appear across AI systems, how they compare with competitors and where gaps in their visibility may exist.

The shift is already changing how people access information. A consumer researching a new camera can ask an AI assistant, “Which camera should I buy for travel?” A job candidate can ask whether a company is considered a good place to work. An investor can research the reputation of a business, while a journalist can use an AI system to gather background on an industry or company.

In a 2026 publication, Boston Consulting Group described visibility in large language model-generated responses as “a new and necessary form of digital shelf space” for brands.

Unlike a traditional search-results page, however, an AI-generated answer can synthesize information from multiple sources into a single response. That makes the context in which a company is mentioned — or whether it appears at all — increasingly relevant to brand perception.

Indexa is building its platform around that problem. The company analyzes the questions and prompts in which a brand appears across AI systems, how the brand is described and recommended, which sources are cited or associated with it, and how its visibility compares with competitors.

“What is AI saying about my brand?”

Bünyamin Saraç, co-founder and CEO of Indexa, said companies are beginning to add a new question to the metrics they already use to understand their digital presence.

“For years, companies have measured how they appear in search engines, how they are discussed on social media and how they are covered by the press,” Saraç said. “Now there is another question to answer: What is artificial intelligence telling people about my brand?”

Saraç said the change goes beyond a simple shift from traditional search to AI.

“The competitive environment is no longer limited to where a company appears in a list of search results,” he said. “Increasingly, it also matters whether the company becomes part of the answer itself — and, if it does, how it is represented.”

The impact goes beyond purchasing decisions

Generative AI can play a role in decisions made not only by consumers, but also by investors, prospective employees, journalists and other stakeholders.

“A customer researching a product, an investor examining a company, a candidate evaluating a potential employer or a journalist researching an industry may all use AI-generated answers as part of that process,” Saraç said.

“That means a company's representation across AI systems can matter to sales and marketing, but also to corporate communications, public relations, human resources, investor relations and reputation management.”

From search ranking to answer inclusion

Traditional search marketing has often focused on where a company or website appears on a results page. Generative AI introduces a different dynamic: whether a brand is included in a synthesized answer and the context in which it appears.

“Being mentioned is only part of the picture,” Saraç said. “A recommendation is different from a neutral mention, and a citation is different from an unsupported reference. The surrounding context matters.”

Indexa therefore tracks a range of indicators, including brand mentions, recommendations, citations, sentiment, AI Share of Voice and competitive visibility gaps.

The aim is to give companies a structured view of how they are represented across different AI systems rather than treating individual AI responses as isolated examples.

“Why does my competitor appear when I don't?”

One of the questions Indexa is designed to address is why one company appears in AI-generated answers to important category questions while another does not.

The business implications vary by industry.

For an e-commerce company, AI visibility may influence product discovery and consumer preference. For a bank, the issue may center on trust. For a conglomerate, it may involve corporate reputation. For a technology company, it can affect perceptions of innovation. Universities may be evaluated on academic reputation, hotels on recommendations and employers on their ability to attract talent.

The same underlying issue connects them: how an organization is represented when an AI system is asked about the category in which it operates.

Beyond GEO

Saraç said Indexa does not view the opportunity solely as an extension of search-engine optimization.

“ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and other AI systems are creating another channel through which people discover and evaluate information,” he said. “The specific platforms will continue to change. Our focus is on measuring how brands are represented across those systems, identifying where they are strong or weak and benchmarking them against competitors.”

Indexa uses that data to identify opportunities that may help companies strengthen their visibility and representation across AI environments.

Generative Engine Optimization, commonly referred to as GEO, is one part of that emerging market. Indexa describes its broader approach as AI Brand Intelligence — using data from AI-generated answers to measure how brands are represented, recommended, cited and compared.

“Our goal is for companies to measure their presence in AI-generated answers with the same discipline they already apply to search, social media, media coverage and other major channels,” Saraç said.
